Michigan- When it comes to rivalries, the one between the University of Michigan and Michigan State seems to be one that brings out the worst in the fan bases. As far as the players of both schools goes, they are eager to get on the playing field and fight for a chance to win the Paul Bunyan Trophy. Michigan and Michigan State are going different directions as a program. We have seen this from both sides. This is all too familiar. Very similiar to when Lloyyd Carr's Wolverines started to stumble but also had huge wins over the Spartans over the years. The seven out of eight wins for the Spartans should give fans something to brag about. But, as many spartan fans say to Wolverine natives. That is the past. The present and future shows a program that has reached not only new heights this season with wins and losses, But with the Jordan brand being added its a buzz thats never been seen before in Michigan Football. The game this weekend could go both ways. An Msu win brings a day of happiness over many sad days. A Michigan win will most likely bury any hopes of a Bowl game for this years Spartans and will also destroy the bad taste of last years miracle loss. This is why we play the game and Saturday at noon both Michigan teams get to play for something. One just has a lot more to play for.
