ALABAMA STATE UNIVERSITY WINS SWAC COMMISSIONER'S CUP

ASU wins SWAC Commissioner's Cup

Alabama State's success in athletics over the past year earned the university the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Commissioner's Cup for the first time in school history, along with the women's all-sports trophy and men's all-sports trophy.

The Hornets finished second in the standings in 2011, 2012 and 2013 before finally finishing first in 2013-14.

President Obama had lunch at the White House on Thursday with former Secretary of State -- and prospective replacement -- Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The White House had little to say about the conversation, calling it "an informal, private lunch."

Clinton, who has a new book coming out June 10, has not announced whether or not she will seek the presidency in 2016.
