Every so often someone will come out with what they claim is the diet to end all diets. It's too bad that isn't true. There should be some way to stop diet fads, but as long as people buy the books that are written about the program that guarantees they will lose weight, somebody will keep writing new diet books. The simple fact is that the problem is not about the diet that a person chooses. There's more going on than just extra pounds, larger-sized clothing and the fact that theater seats are being made bigger. There's more to the problem than an overweight person needing a seat belt extension on an airline flight - or worse, that they are required to purchase to seats because they won't fit into one. Making fun of overweight people is the last acceptable prejudice in society today, and there needs to be a stronger voice standing up for those who are struggling, and losing their battle with the scales.
