Call in to speak with the host
ITR is proud to have three time former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce, on the show to speak with resident unofficial wrestling historian, Nick Sankey.
Since it's creation in 1948, the NWA World Title has been held by the best and brightest talents to ever grace the professional wrestling ring, with a total of 83 individual title reigns shared among all the men who have held it...three of which belong to Adam Pearce who, with a total of 728 days as champion between his three reigns, has the distinction of being the #10 overall longest reigning champion in NWA history. Very few men have held the title three or more times, which stands as a strong testament to Pearce's skills, talent, and legitimate claim as a true member of wrestling's elite among the likes of Harley Race, Ric Flair, Lou Thesz and Dusty Rhodes.
This interview marks a special milestone for ITR. This is the very first time that an NWA World Title holder has been on our show and we are truly honored that Adam Pearce called in to talk about the injury that threatens to end his career, memories of 15 years in the business, and his thoughts on the current state of pro wrestling. In whatever happens next for him, we wish "Scrap Iron" all the best!
It's good to talk.
