Mareen has lower and higher synesthesia, both forms and concepts appear to her in color. She sees “k’s” as teal and “8’s” as aubergine. Maureen has been a journalist for two decades; has written for the Daily News, the New York Times, ESPN the Magazine, Irish America, and a number of other publications. She has also covered breaking news for MSNBC and appeared on PBS, CNN, and NBC.
