Notre Dame has figured out most of the assistant coach positions. Mike Elko (formerly at Wake Forest) in at defensive coordinator and Chip Long (formerly at Memphis) in at offensive coordinator. In a press release on Jan 9th, 2017, Brian Kelly confirmed that Long would have "... full responsibility to call plays in 2017."
