There has always been and will probably always be a strong connection between music and the local communities. Often times, it's a case of the music reflecting the situations in the communities and vice-versa. Art will always imitate life; and if this is the case, what is life telling us in today's music. And more importantly, how can we influence our music to reflect and encourage a better value system in the lyrics and images of today's artists.
