Sherry Meeks writes short stories and novels. With her novel, Finding Tambri, she combines both forms by creating a novel in stories. Finding Tambri is the story of Tambri, a woman who suffers the loss of her young son and the disintegration of her perfect marriage to her high school sweetheart, Daniel. Although Tambri retains her sense of humor, she struggles with feelings of loss and guilt, and not being good enough for this world. Tambri discovers one wrong man after another, and her only condition is that each man doesn't have children.
An author’s tip from Sherry: “Ideas come from everywhere; the difficult part involves the recognition of an idea. If you pay attention to each situation that presents itself and your own reaction to a particular circumstance, you will discover idea after idea.”
Sherry, with her M.F.A. in Fiction degree from Southern New Hampshire University, lives in Georgia with her dogs, Abby and Skye, and is an instructor of creative writing.
