Please join me Tuesday March 24th at 11am CST as we talk about how Jesus commanded His followers to wait for what The Father had promised. He made a distinction between the different baptisms. ( Look at Acts 19)
Obviously He knew we needed to be endued with His power to be witnesses. The Scripture is very clear , that this is a supernatural harvest, done supernaturally, by the power of The Spirit. Clearly laid out in scripture. He knew we would have supernatural enemies. He gave us supernatural weapons. ( Ephesians 6) For the Commission He gave , for it to be successful, it has to be done His way.
Traditions and opinions won't accomplish the mission. His instructions , by His power through us will.
Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, "Which," He said, "you heard of from Me; (Acts 1:4)
for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." (Acts 1:5)
Why?
but you will receive power whenthe Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."(Acts 1:8)
