Please join us Tuesday Feb. 12th as we discuss that our spirits are a candle The Lord can light. On thefreedictionary.com here are some definitions of light-1. To set on fire; ignite or kindle. 2. To cause to give out light; make luminous: lit a lamp. 3. To provide, cover, or fill with light; illuminate: fireworks lighting the sky. 4. To signal, direct, or guide with or as if with illumination. 27The spirit of man [that factor in human personality which proceeds immediately from God] is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts. †9 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. (Psalm 18:28) The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. (Proverbs 20:27) As we can see - our spirits can be darkness. but when we call upon The Name Of the Lord our spirits can be lit by The Light Of the Lord Light-metaph. How gorgeous- God is light because light has the extremely delicate, subtle, pure, brilliant quality of truth and its knowledge, together with the spiritual purity associated with it that which is exposed to the view of all, openly, publicly reason, mind the power of understanding esp. moral and spiritual truth There it was--the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person.
