“Surrender to the Moment” which is what I have learned from my gentle husband, who has naturally surrendered to his disease of Frontotemporal Dementia. He lives for today because he forgets much of yesterday and is so focused on accomplishing the tasks of today, that he doesn’t make time to worry about tomorrow. Every day I watch his courage and it reminds me that a single moment is our only guarantee. I used to take the present moment for granted and was too busy worrying, ‘doing’ or regretting to appreciate the ‘roses beneath my feet’. Honestly? I wouldn’t trade my life today for the one we had before Dave was diagnosed with dementia!

Join Catherine today as she welcomes Holly Eburne to share her heart touching story and words of encouragement.

Holly Eburne is a Sport Physiotherapist and Health and Wellness Coach. She lives with her husband, Dave, their 2 grown children and animals, in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Dave, 59, was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago and Holly is presently writing a book titled ‘Sweet Surrender- Awakening to the Riches of Dementia’.
