Why is it called the Golden Rule?

"Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. Matt 7:12

“Do for others just what you want them to do for you. If you really do that, you may just find that your enemy will become your friend.”

Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. ROM 13:10

For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."  Gal 5:14
