Interview with Susan Violante

Topics of conversation:

  • Rebuilding life after surviving war
  • Searching for a better life abroad
  • Experiences as a child with parents having PTSD
  • Raising own family differently than being raised
  • Experiences as an immigrant

Born and raised in Venezuela from Italian immigrants, Susan completed a BA degree in Political and Administrative Cs. before moving to the US.

Although she has built a career as a Business Analyst / Accountant, she also has kept herself active as a Freelance writer in the US, while starting her own family (husband and 2 girls). It was her own family birth that inspired her to know more about her parents and thus the publication of her first book.

Susan is currently working on her second book: Life After Rubble: Behind and Immigrant's Past Book Two. She is also host of her own Internet radio show: I Have Something To Say Live and is currently putting together a Spanish version called "La Vida es un Cuento en Vivo." (Life is a Story - Live).
