Poetry for me is and always has been, one of the most beautiful art forms around.
Whether I'm writing socially conscious pieces I feel the need more light shed on through
poetry or to reach the hearts and souls of those who read my work and support me.
Every type of poetry has it's place in any poetry community.
I initially was introduced to poetry through my best friend Tonya Moore who is a
wonderful Poetess in her own right. I was told about a website called GS Poetry. After
being introduced to the work of the various Poets and reading and experiencing how
those Poets went to work with their pens I was intrigued. I began writing short erotic
stories and would then email them to friends to share. Soon after my short stories caught
the attention of a few people affiliated with various magazines who soon inquired if I
would be able to write short stories and and also turn my short stories into poems.
It was at that point I met who I call my crew of “ Scorpion brothers and sisters” Who
took me under their wings and helped me learn to master various forms and styles of
poetry. A crew was formed and named “ The Five Deadly Venom’s” Our crew consists
of Tha Scorpion, Black Scorpion, Leethal, Athena AKA Queen of Sting and myself.
We're
known for writing collaborations that are unique and profound. I later branched over to
Facebook to expand my ink game there and network with fellow Poets. I also have a
music background and love to sing when time and circumstances allow.
