Mayor Sims Bio

Affectionately known by many in the community as T.T. Kim,  Kimberley Sims  was born, raised, and currently resides in the City of Muskegon Heights.  A Muskegon Catholic Central Alumni, wife of 19 years to Andrew,  mother of 3 Jhonika 25 , Andrew II 18 and Preston 6. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, an avid homeschooler; who humbly serves on the Muskegon Heights City Council for  over a decade, Muskegon Oceana Community Action Partnership Board, Muskegon Heights Optimist Member, Friends of Muskegon Heights Library, Innovation team for Muskegon County, Muskegon County Wellville committee, volunteer director of SIMBA circle, an African-American male mentoring program. "One cannot hear a person’s cry and say one is busy" Ibo, Nigeria.  This is a proverb which is the driving force of Kimberley Sims.  In her spare time, Mrs. Sims is the Visionary of a non-profit organization called Destinys Pointe, a grassroots organization to create sustainable change in an individual’s life.  The ultimate goal for Mrs. Sims is to empower a people who seem to have been marginalized by the inner circles.    Being the voice for the people who say little, yet their conditions scream for assistance.
