Known best as writer/ producer for "Big Bad Swim," Daniel Schechter directed "Supporting Characters," a funny film centered around two characters who are friends and business partners in the film world and their interaction with each other and other people.

The film stars Alex Karpovsky, Tarik Lowe, Lena Dunham, Kevin Corrigan, Arielle Kebbel, Sophia Takal and Melonie Dia. 

The film has already received acclaim and Schechter's next project, which he will write and direct, is "The Untitled Elmore Leonard Project" (based on the Elmore Leonard novel, "The Switch") starring Jennifer Aniston, Dennis Quaid, John Hawkes, Ty Burrell and Yasiin Bey.
