About The Author: Jasmyne K. Rogers is a graduate of Georgia State University and native of Wilcox County, Alabama. She thoroughly enjoys writing "soul" stories that reflect the history, culture, and progression of people of African descent. She has been a contributing writer for NU Tribe Magazine. Her work has been featured on For Harriet, Blavity, Nia Magazine, Ayiba Magazine, My Black Matters, NU Tribe Magazine, and In My Skin Campaign. Her short story, "Peace After Revolution," is featured in Brown Girls Books anthology, Single Mama Dating Drama. Her poetry and short story collection, Soul Stories, is forthcoming with Bahati Books. Her soul story, “The Concrete Rose,” is featured in Centum Press’ inaugural anthology, One Hundred Voices.
