The Increase of His Government

The Divine Trinity richly supplies the life we live. In support of this we turn our attention back to the book of Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” This is God’s economy; let’s read it again in Eph. 1:10 “with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.” “The summing up of all things in Christ” is threaded in the Book of Genesis and the master piece is accomplished in the book of Revelation. There we read, “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper (Rev 21:10-11).The holy city, The New Jerusalem is not of brick and mortar signifying something crafted or shaped from this earth; rather it is made of a costly stone, symbolizing the forming of a precious thing. Stones are formed and not created, precious stones are formed from the deposit of elements inside of the sedimentary rock under intense heat as well as pressure over a very long period of time. This gives strong testimony to the way the ecclesia (church) is formed.
