 “ For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men?   What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one.” 1 Cor 3:4,5 (NASB). We should note, the shortsightedness of the Corinthian church kept them victims, prisoners of demoralization and factions. Ignorant of the heavenly calling which was designed to bring them into the higher life, Corinth believers became increasingly acceptant of power struggles, classes, name associations and such things that merely identified them as earthly or fleshly. Paul called such things wood, hay, straw, things that were of fleshly representation, whereas they should be consumed with the Divine power and activity of the higher life represented by gold, silver, and precious stones (vs. 12,13). The reality here is, we also can choose as the Corinth believers to live earthly minded reaping....join us on 10/15/2011.
