God’s purpose for recreating and extending creation was to have a man, a corporate body that would express Him. This means that in Adam all mankind was included in the plan of God, i.e., God’s plan for Adam was for the generations of all mankind. Adam was the seed of all mankind. When God put Adam in a deep sleep in Genesis 2:21-22 he formed Eve, from whom came the crop of all mankind. 21 And Jehovah God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof: 22 and the rib, which Jehovah God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. Jesus said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. Similarly, this is also true for Christ and the church. When Christ died we all died, when He was resurrected we were all resurrected. Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, Romans 6: 3-5. Concurrently, all the promises given to Christ are given to us. According to Romans 8:32 (Amplified Version) He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things? This occurred when we received the spirit of son–ship and were made to be, “heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.” Romans 8:17
