With the peace process at a virtual standstill, both the Palestinians and Israel seem to be staking out their respective positions and messaging in the event of a post-mid-term resumption of talks on the one hand, or a total collapse of dialogue and a descent back into violence on the other.

Guests:

Hanan Ashrawi is the Founder and Executive Committee Chair of the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy- MIFTAH, an elected member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, and founder and Commissioner of the Independent Commission for Human Rights (ICHR). Dr. Ashrawi was a member of the Political and Diplomatic Committees during the first Intifada and during subsequent negotiations and in 1991 she was named Official Spokesperson of the Palestinian Delegation to the Middle East Peace Process. Dr. Ashrawi has received numerous international awards, including “Mahatma Gandhi International Award for Peace and Reconciliation,” and the “Sydney Peace Prize".

Amjad Atallah (Guest Moderator) is a former advisor to Palestinian negotiators and the Co-director of the Middle East Task Force of the New America Foundation
