Mary McManus, received a BS in Public Relations from Boston University in 1976. Mary’s career path took her from public relations to social work. She worked in public relations for the BU Counseling Center when the director recognized her compassion and empathy and a spirit for helping others and suggested she pursue a career in counseling. But throughout the years, she would enjoy writing - especially poetry, writing customized poems for family and friends in honor of special occasions. When Mary retired from 25 years in the field of social work she created New World Greeting Cards, customized poetry for all occasions. Through this gift Mary shares with others to bring hope, faith, love, joy, comfort, healing, and celebration. Mary has also had a remarkable healing journey from age 5 when she contracted paralytic polio and had a vision of God which sustained her through the desert of an abusive childhood and adolescent years (father alcoholic and took his life when she was 17) to having her Spirit open wide when she had post polio syndrome at the age of 53. In December 2006 Mary’s life began to be transformed through the crisis of post polio syndrome with Spirit transcending a broken body - through poetry. As a post polio survivor Mary ran a Boston Marathon which is 'unheard' of as post polio syndrome since it is supposed to be a progressive neurological disease in which muscles and nerves burn out! www.newworldgreetings.com *Purchase BEing The Titus Concept Friday December 5th on Amazon.com*
