Stephan (Steve) M. Hudson has served with the Prince William County Police Department since 1982. Prior to his appointment as Chief of Police in February 2013, he was  an Assistant Chief of Police since 2008, serving over the Operations and Criminal Investigations Divisions; he previously served as the Commander of the Vice/Narcotics (now Special Investigations), Internal Affairs, and Special Operations Bureaus.  Prior to his first promotion, he served for 13 years in officer and detective positions.

Chief Hudson is a graduate of American Public University with a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, he has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from National-Louis University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Executive Institute and the FBI National Academy; the Professional Executive Leadership School at the University of Richmond; and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police.

Karl Brower succeeded assumed his role as President of the Prince William branch of the NAACP on January 1, 2015.   A native of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, President-elect Brower attended Carnegie Mellon University and Howard University School of Divinity.  After college, Karl served in the United States Marine Corps for seven years and is also a cyber security risk assessment expert.  Karl is also a minister at the First Mount Zion Baptist and  reside in Woodbridge.  He joined the NAACP Prince William chapter in 2007 and has served on its executive committee for the majority of that time.
