THE CLIO EXCHANGE EXPRESS will this week focus on a conversation that will deal with the issue of relationships that have gone seriously wrong between law enforcement and the African American community.  The tragic circumstances of young black men losing their lives when they encounter law enforcement has grown to a near epidemic porportion.  It has consumed the airwaves as many within the community, who just happen to not be African Americans, are beginning to look beyond the haze and see that there is a systematic problem and it is tearing the nation apart.   It is resurrecting the old hatemongers who thrive on the negative issues surrounding race.  The cottage market of peddling racial hate has reared its ugly head and is spreading like wild fire because we have allowed ourselves to be lulled into thinking that this kind of anamis was dead.  When in fact, it was simply hibernating and growing stronger.

On this show we will engage in conversation with Dr. Jeffery Johnson, Senior Pastor of Mt Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfax, Virginia; Shirley Ginwrite, President of the Fairfax County NAACP; and, Jimi Bethel who is a former Washington DC police officer.  The conversation will deal with the issues affecting our community and the challenges facing law enforcement officers as they attempt to serve in their role.  This is a time when people who are standing for RIGHT... need to come forward and challenge the forces of WRONG.
