Domestic Violence and Reentry

Join host Sumayya Coleman and she talks to Ashley McSwain and Jennifer Johnson about the overarching themes and issues affecting individuals of the criminal justice system when they leave prison and the vast challenges this creates for them, their partner, and the community in which they live. We will also take a closer look at how racism affects African Americans in terms of domestic violence and how these concerns can led to intimate partner violence and reincarceration.  The show also promises to address the required social response to these issue and how we can all work together to create a stronger safety net for those transitioning from prison to life in the community.
