It did, in fact, feel like a lot of rewiring to move from an eighteen-year-old convicted felon to a thirty-year-old successful entrepreneur and finance professional. It's been quite a journey changing my mind about myself. In the process I encouraged more authentic, vulnerable, heartfelt communication. I created Shine Your Light Speaking Spaces to offer a right-brained, intuitive, heart-centered alternative to Toastmasters. In my coaching practice, I share with people the idea that you can accept who you are and still want to change. It's okay to make mistakes and choose again, because where you've been doesn't have to dictate where you're going. It's okay to be fully who you are, right now, because even in all our flaws we're perfect. It's SO okay to make your mark on the world and shine!
