Frank Lovato is a retired professional jockey. Over his 25 year career, he rode in over 15,000 races and had 1,680 wins! In the early 1980's he was injured in a racing accident. He decided to build himself a horse made of wood and springs that could help him to rehabilitate and recondition himself to get back into riding. It was such a success that he started building wooden horses for other riders and in 1984.

His customers include top recognized riders in America of all disciplines from professionals to novice and many of those with disabilities. He still handcrafts each horse and has customers all over the world! The “Equicizer” was used exclusively for the making of the motion picture Seabiscuit. So you may wonder who is riding off into the sunset in their living room tight now .
