Yuba-Sutter Race Dialogues was formed by members in the Yuba-Sutter area. Our objective is to work at the local level to create a community that is safe, secure and just.

Vision and Mission Statement: Race Dialogues works collaboratively toward antiracist communities. The goals of the group are:

• To create a learning community that shares knowledge and skills around antiracism work with other individuals and organizations.

• To deepen understanding of the history of systemic racism and its effect on today’s institutions, culture, and beliefs. We work to understand the racist practices and white privilege that impede efforts towards racial justice.

• To improve our skills in countering racism and organizing for racial justice. We learn best practices and sound theory to overcome racism, sharing models, skills, tools, approaches, programs, and practices.

• To network in a way that strengthens and expands our outreach, influence, and effectiveness in overcoming systemic racism.
