Poka is a female gospel rap artist who is a native of Brooklyn, NY who once found herself deeply immersed in the secular Hip-Hop culture of which she participated as a secular artist for seven years. Using her life experiences and powerful testimonials about the struggles she faced as not only a young and single mother, but also as the legal guardian of an adolescent sibling after the sudden death of their mother, Poka has been able to transcribe the ups and downs of life and emotion through paper, pen and mic.
