Glenn Danielson, the biological father, and his wife Alissa, a loving stepmother, have to send their son from their safe, loving home in Missouri to a non-related single man in Colorado after every visitation. The Danielson boy begs not to leave every time he has to go back to Colorado. This little boy is living with his mother's boyfriend, the man who let her drive with the boy in her car as she proceeded to fulfill her own death wish. Isn't it sad enough that this little boy witnessed and survived the auto accident that killed her? Apparently, the Colorado daddy-wanna-be has enough pull in Colorado's court system to steal this boy from his parents and two brothers.

"Psychological parent" laws make for strange bedfellows. The trend in many states is to honor third-parties and override parents' rights to raise their own children. All it takes is a paid psychologist to determine that the third-party has provided a "strong attachment" to the child which the court decides to protect, even against the parent's wishes.  The case has been sitting in Colorado's Court of Appeals for a year now.  Join the Danielsons for this update.
