We will discuss: The Origin of Kwanzaa and Why Celebrate Kwanzaa is a holiday based on the First Fruit Celebrations from Africa that focused on (1) in-gathering of the people (2) reverence for the Creator and Creation (3) Commemoration of the Past (4) re-commitment to Cultural Ideals (5) Celebration of the Good. We celebrate Kwanzaa and in doing so we celebrate ourselves!
