DEFILING THE TEMPLE OF GOD

Could we defile the temple of God to the point of being destroyed? Should I labour to keep this temple clean and holy? 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” Holiness is a biblical teaching that relates to the whole life of the believer, public and private. It is a state of being marked by purity and godliness in spirit and body. Holiness is a requisite for seeing God. Hebrews 12:14, "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." I must then strive constantly to make it a proper habitation for the Spirit of God. It must be my great object and effort to be holy in my entire communion with Him, and in all my aspects before Him. Therefore, I will maintain my body, God’s temple with constant praise and worship at all times.
