It's the day after #SuperTuesday. No matter your feels around the primary results; there is still so much to discuss and do. During the election, we have been looking all over the United States to find great political candidates for BLACK people to find hope in. Our first discovery is Drew Franklin. Drew is running for a seat as At-Large Councilmember. A Native Washingtonian and life-long Independent, his entire platform is committed to #KeepItDC . The "Drew For DC: Bill of Rights" has been widely circulated within the Nation's Capitol. It gained him his title as Bernie Sanders of DC. This platform has directly addressed the disparities in education access, affordable housing and transportation equity. Multiple accounts have surfaced of Drew's historically consistent responses to questionable police tactics and racist businesses. However, there is also a lot of skepticism in "Chocolate City" because Drew is White. Join us as we talk to him about earning the trust and vote of BLACK people. Will he get our #message ? Will we agree with his? Tune in and feel free to join in the conversation. #wheredouSTAND™
