Guest: Mark Perman " Mark has worn many hats over the years. He began his show business career at the age of 8 in the sequel to the Broadway musical Hair called "Dude".Later he performed in theTony award winning "Shenandoah" with John Cullum from 1975-'76. In addition to his work as an actor Mark enjoyed several years in the broadcast industry having worked with such industry giants as Rush Limbaugh and Bob Grant. In 1993 Mark found his spiritual calling and went off to Israel to train as a cantor (Jewish sacred singer and clergy person) which he has been doing ever since.Mark keeps his hand in the theater having performed most recently as Otto Frank in "The Diary of Anne Frank",Tevyeh in "Fiddler on the Roof", as well as in voice overs and TV/Radio commercials. In addition to his work asa clergy person Mark is somewhat of an activist having stood up for various animal protection issues and having written op-ed pieces that have been published in such publications as the "Atlanta Jewish Times" and "Backstage".He is outspoken on issues he is passionate about but believes in taking more moderate and common sense approaches to solving problems on a political, social, and existential level. He is a graduate of New York University,the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and New York City's "famed" High School of Performing Arts. Mark will soon be living in Avon CT with his two cats Isabella and Spirit.
