GUTS Gospel Series Study: Matthew 15:1-11, 15-20 Key Verses: Matthew 15:8-9

Do not allow traditions to violate the spirit of the Law.

Objectives: 1. To understand the significance of the letter of the Law versus the spirit of the Law. 2. to reflect on the spirit of some of  the traditions we keep. 3. to repent for when we have keep physical traditions but lost the spirit behind them. 4. To know when traditions are misinterpreted as the Law of God. 5. To not use traditions to invalidate the Word of God, 6. To learn the spirit of the Law as well as the letter of the Law. 7. To review the traditions of the Church that might be a hinderance to one's salvation.
