Bible Study of 1 John 2:9-11, 15-17. Key Verse: 1 John 2:10. The Biblical truth that is to be revealed in the study: Bear in mind John's teaching about love and exhortation to walk in the light of love. The objectives we hope to gain from the series are: 1. That we will evaluate whether our attitudes toward people exhibit a spirit of light or darkness. 2. To explore the significance of John's comparison of hate and love with darkness and light. 3. We are empowered to love because God's love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. 4. Because of God's love for us, He sent us the Light, which is Jesus Christ. 5. That we will perform an intentional act of kindness during the next week.
