Ken was best-known for hosting "Remote Control" on MTV for 5 seasons, and he continued his assistance as announcer of "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," hosted by Colin Quinn, who was well associated with "Remote Control" in the popular category, "Sing Along with Colin". Ober also had hosting opportunities with "Make Me Laugh," "Smush," and ESPN's "Perfect Match." Ober died of a heart attack at his home of Santa Monica, CA on November 15th, 2009 at the age of 52.
