Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Blogtalk Radio Show commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Zephaniah 3:9-14, 20.

I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher, welcome to the broadcast. We will finish up our study in this short 3 chapter and not revisit it until we complete this 6 year cycle of scriptures studying.

Let us pray: O God thanks be unto you for the promise of restoring us back to what we were before sin entered our mortal soul we are grateful for heaven where we will be with thee throughout eternity O Lord bring the world to a saving knowledge to your son Jesus the Christ in his name we pray Amen.

The  text reads as so:

Zephaniah in his closing verse (20) reiterates God's promise to the restored and cleaned Israel in the Messianic Age, the millennial kingdom, ‘’I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth’’.  

To us, the Christians, Jesus the Son of God, promises us Heaven in John 14: 2 & 3, ‘’In my Father's house are mansions: if it was not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And  if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you shall be also.’’  

Verses 9 thru 13 are the washing and the purifying and the prophesying of David’s psalm of penitence ‘’for the matter of Uriah the Hittite’’ (1 kings 15:5) recorded in the 51st Number of the Book of Psalms which is David’s pain from murdering a man under his command to cover up his adultery with his wife, Bathsheba ...
