God has a controversy with his people in the 8th century and he raises up a man from Moresheth to speak words of condemnation and their captivity.

In verses 1 & 2 of ch 6, I find there is sarcasm on the part of the prophet, Micah; he finds contempt and mock their idolatry.V 3, The preacher/prophet presents in the first person the covenant lawsuit the Lord has brought against his people, in this format the accuser frames the question and demands an answer. God challenges his children to ‘’testify’’ against him’’.

The Lord’s dialogue continues in the first person in v 4, “I brought you out of Egypt. I redeemed you from slavery. I sent before you good leaders in Moses, Aaron and Miriam

.In v 5 God the dialogue continues, “O my people’’, don’t you remember how Balaam for money devised a scheme with Balak King of Moab to get the Moabites women to entice you to commit fornication...

V6 & 7 Have the questions the sinner must reckon with when the Holy Spirit regenerates his heart. Remember this...

In v8, Micah points out the same instructions as Moses did in Deuteronomy 6 what God requires of man...
