Paul this man who was once call Saul who hated the church after being brought into the light of Christ tells us in chapter 12 of the spiritual gifts God placed in the church; in chapter 14, he lectures the class on prophecy and its superiority of the two. And, then he makes chapter 13 the ‘’oreo’’ in the cookie: the greatest of these is love.

Chapter 13, v. 1-3 In paragraph one of three, Paul’s arrangement of the spiritual gifts in a greater/lesser grouping are to highlight the importance of love to tongues & prophecy; knowledge or faith nor the burning of your body are greater than love.

Paul, the apostle, in v.4-7,  personifies and enumerates what love is and what love aint; what love does and what love does not do.

V, 8-13 are The preacher and teacher waits until v. 8, his last paragraph, to announces the text of his message, ‘’love never fail’’...

V.13 Our Dear brother Paul in the final verse of the love chapter takes love and do the math with faith and hope...
