The Nu Moorish International Group of Science and Development Mir No.10 is here to improve Humanity through education and upliftment of the world's present condition. We aim to transform, build up and enhance the initiate's confidence and consciousness into a higher level using values consistent with honesty, integrity and loyalty. Collectively these values sustain leadership; the foundation essential and key to promote growth within our congregation. We are earnest and steadfast in promulgating the higher learning and discipline every great mind needs in order to produce transformative thoughts. So then, come along and lets build from the ground up. The cornerstone of this structure must begin with Marcus Garvey the father of what was then called Black Nationalism. In 1912 Garvey sailed to England and got a job through an acquaintance with a man named Duse Mohammed Ali. Working for Duse's publication "African Times and Oriental Review" exposed Garvey to the role of African business and the triumphs of Africa's ancestral past. While Garvey was in England he started developing his skills as an orator by regularly speaking at London's Hyde Park. But the spark that set everything aflame and lights the night through which we travel today might have come after he read Booker T. Washington's autobiography and was claimed to have said "I read of conditions in America, I read "Up From Slavery", and then my doom, if I may so call it, of being a race leader dawned upon me".
