GRANDE Central is intended to raise the awareness of grandparents raising grandchildren and relative caregivers. Topics include to name a few: the importance of family relations, legal and legislative policies that affect family, caregiver self-care, health issues, and holistic living principles.

Rikki Gillum is the author of Beware: Growing Inside, A Journal of Enlightenment for the Completion of Anything, the songwriter and vocalist of the CD, Beware: Growing Inside, Songs of Enlightenment. You may discover more about her and upcoming projects at www.rikkigillum.com. She has been a single parent of seven children for 18 years and is now the single-parent grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters whom she is raising. Ms. Gillum is a motivational speaker on the topics of new-aged grandparents’, teen and young adult issues, holistic living and self-examination to name a few. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The G.R.A.N.D.E. Coalition (Grandparents Recreating A New Direction Everyday) which facilitates support groups, social services, resource and referral and second-generation parenting education for grandparents raising grandchildren and relative caregivers in Katy, TX;. She also serves on the Executive Board of You're Living Proof, Inc. a sister non-profit organization that assists survivors of domestic violence.
