Retired from teaching, Salvatore Buttaci is an obsessive-compulsive writer who writes every day. He was the 2007 recipient of the $500 Cyber-wit Poetry Award.
His poems, stories, articles, and letters have appeared in The New York Times, The Writer, U. S. A. Today, Cats Magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Bardic Echoes, Wind, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Celebrating Brothers and Sisters, A Cup of Comfort for Fathers, and many other publications here and abroad.
Buttaci holds an M.B.A. In Marketing from Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
He has conducted countless writing workshops and was often the featured poet at various poetry readings. Radio and cable TV. An activist for Sicilian-American pride, Buttaci has lectured widely on “Growing up Sicilian.”
