Photobucket Mandi Leigh breaks the mold with her NVE Records debut album release. Titled “BLVD”, it captures the inspiration behind the project beautifully, making it a smooth ride for her listeners. “For me BLVD. captures all the different charming aspects I love about working & playing on the West Coast. It’s what inspired me to chase after my dream.” Leigh says. From infectious dance beat driven pop numbers such as “Whipped Cream” and “Girls Out” featuring Med Schola, to the soulful melodic ballads such as “Home Suite Home”, a word-play number that speaks about life on the road, the album is sure to captivate a diverse audience. Since the young age of eight , when she published for a poem she wrote on ending world violence, Leigh has been hard at work on her rise to to success and has continued her writing efforts by penning her debut album. She is also in the process of publishing her first young adult fiction novel due out late 2010/early 2011. “This album is a story I wanted to tell that shows all sides of who I am. The girl who loves to have fun, who wants to get out there and dance, the girl who's living her dream and the girl who just wants to find love and close the door to my day and just be me, in the quiet." Leigh says. Her first single off the album, "Hotter Than Fire" ft. NVE label mate Vernac, premiered 6/22/10 worldwide to rave reviews and radio airplay. “I’ve recorded a lot of music through the years, mixing a lot of different genres and I am very comfortable with where I’ve found my home.
