88 courses down and 12 to go! In what has become an annual tradition on the GOLF SMARTER podcast, we start the New Year with a report from the Top100Golf blogger who has set out to play the top 100 courses of the world as designated by Golf Magazine in 2003. This is his report on the 8 he played in '09 from California to Europe. Even though the magazine ranks Cypress Point #2, his experience there last January locks it into his best course in the world, period. You can keep track of his experiences at his blog at http://Top100Golf.blogspot.com. Not only have GOLF SMARTER listeners helped him get onto some of these exclusive courses over the years, but he has also assisted members of our community to get onto courses that are difficult to achieve.

New Contest!! How'd you like VIP tickets to the Waste Management Phoenix Open (formerly the FBR Open) at TPC Scottsdale? This PGA Tournament is being Feb. 22-28 and the winner receives VIP tickets to the skybox on the 16th hole, golf for two at Eagle Mountain Golf Club, three nights hotel stay, and a beautful dinner for two. More details will be announced as we get closer to the deadline. You must be able to go on these specific dates and you provide your own transportation to Phoenix, AZ. Deadline for entries is Febraury 1, 2010 at http://GolfSmarter.com.
