The golf industry is losing money everyday because more golfers are quitting the game than starting to play. The three biggest complaints are that it's too hard, it's too expensive and it takes too long. This episode features a panel discussion with the Director of a 9 hole, par 31 course, and two authors who've written unrelated books about 9 hole courses in the US and Ireland. Tom Coyne, who joined us last episode to discuss "A Course Called Ireland", recently wrote an article for Sports Illustrated about how Ireland cherishes their shorter tracks. Our third panelist is Anthony Pioppi, author of "To The Nines" about great nine hole courses on the Eastern part of the US. Both of these books are available at the Golfers' Mart at GolfSmarter.com.
There's also a discussion topic posted in our GOLF SMARTER Facebook group called "Let's Play 9!". Please login and let us know your thoughts.
