Episode #13 of Golf Smarter is the course featured on the TeeTour DVD. The Course at Wente Vineyards in Livermore, CA is the only Greg Norman designed course in Northern California. Host Fred Greene interviews Director of Golf Chris Conway. Chris offers insight on the playing strategy of six holes he feels could benefit from local knowledge, covering one par 3 (#7) and five par 4s (#2, #8, #10, #13 & #18). The Course at Wente Vineyards will host its first Nationwide Tour stop for the Livermore Valley Wine Country Championships March 30-April 2, 2006, and will have the event repeated over the next 4 years. The instruction and local knowledge provided by Chris could even offer a competitive edge to touring pros because this course has many blind shots and a flat lie is a difficult thing to find. You'll also get information on the practice facilities, how to get a free round on your birthday, bonus offers to Club Wente members, which portable GPS systems are available for this course, and what clubs to avoid to help lower your scores.
