You get to vicariously experience hell this week on God Discussion.

Our guest, Minister Kevin Benton, is the author of A Field Trip to Hell, where he describes his near death experience when he was in college and then goes into theology concerning hell.

Kevin developed Hypertropic-Cardiomyapathy, a rare heart disease found in African American males that causes the heart to enlarge and blood to flow in the wrong direction in the valves. He said that in addition to this condition, he had panic attacks with agoraphobia, experiencing fear of leaving the home and being alone.

The doctors gave him one day to live and Kevin miraculously survived to share his story.

In A Field Trip to Hell, Benton lets readers experience the 30 torments of hell firsthand, without having to stay for eternity. The minister and child care social worker seeks to serve as a Biblical guide for Christian and non-Christians to evaluate their beliefs associated with hell.

Formerly a professional basketball player and an attendee of the late Jerry Falwell’s Liberty University, Kevin and his wife Nikki Benton founded the Healed-Healers Ministries in Philadelphia He has been a guest on numerous talk shows as well as the Trinity Broadcasting Network. For more information about our guest, visit Kevin Benton Ministries.

During the show, we will also take calls about people’s near death experiences (please vote in our related poll) and discuss beliefs in an afterlife.
