Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq, is an Elder, Healer, and Shaman. His name means "The Man Who Looks Like His Uncle"; he is frequently called Uncle. Angaangaq was raised in a remote village in Greenland. His grandmother, Aanakasaa, herself a Healer, recognized him to be the one to carry on the tradition of Healer in the family and trained him to become the next shaman. In 2004, after years of being the runner for his Elders, bringing the message of the Melting of the Ice to the world, he went to the Sacred Mountain. When he came down from the mountain, he accepted the immense responsibility of being a Shaman.

His work, Melting the Ice in the Heart of Man, has taken him to five continents and over 66 countries around the world. He has been a keynote speaker at international conferences on Climate Change, Environmental, and Indigenous Issues. He has represented the Arctic people in the United Nations General Assembly.
