Shirley A. Frierson, serves as the Senior Policy Advisor to Commissioner Sara Kyle at the Tennessee Regulatory Authority (TRA). Prior to joining the TRA, Ms. Frierson served as a member of Governor Ned McWherter’s personal staff. She was born and raised in Davidson County to Mary Francis Beard and the late LeRoy Beard. She was educated in Nashville Public Schools and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University. She is a proud member of The Temple Church in Nashville, Tennessee. She has one daughter, Kenisha, and two granddaughters, Alexis and Alana. She is long active in community service and volunteer work. She is an active participant in the American Cancer Society Making Strides for Breast Cancer and Race for the Cure. She is a member of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners where she serves on the Electricity and Telecommunications Staff Subcommittee’s. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Shirley joined Exit Elite Realty in 2006 and is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Tennessee Association of Realtors and the Robertson County Realtors Association. Recently she was appointed as a board member to serve a four year term on the State Workforce and Development Board by Governor Phil Bredesen. Shirley has held in varies areas a number of Real Estate Workshops to educate the general public on matters that are specific to homeowners and of interest to potential first time home buyers. Shirley has a keen interest in real estate and is committed to serving the public while assisting with their real estate needs.
